Year 10 boys who were out of circulation and spent break and lunch in the Hall are now back in the social mix. Please be particularly vigilant about their behaviour and report any concerns to Gh

SIMS upgraded successfully yesterday but server had to be restarted as some people were not logged out of SIMS before upgrade started. If, like me, you were not logged out, please let John Boughton know so he can measure the extent of yesterday’s problem, and, like me, ensure that you are logged out in good time for future upgrades!

Can teachers of U6th please ensure they complete Lesson Monitor every lesson – essential to keep track of 6 th form in remain 10 weeks

SIMS upgrade of last week went well, with no report bugs so far. Please do contact the ICT helpdesk to report and problems that you may experience.

New Personnel version 7 is in the pipeline, currently the ICT department are working upon the conversion from the existing system to the new release due out later this month.

 

Classlink 7

The new system has been in place since the beginning of the year and it has been fairly stable. Last term saw us resolve some of the teething problems experienced since rolling out the new version of classlink, however all problems were addressed and we should now be working again. Please feed and issues you may have to the ICT department.

 

Wireless Rollout

Testing of the wireless network resumed at the start of the spring term. Some problems had come to light through testing and we now hope to have the system up and running. Hopefully over the coming weeks staff will be contacted and their laptops will be connected across to the wireless network. There is a schedule of work addressing some inherent build issues and some housekeeping on the older laptops. Through this execise we hope to offer a fairly robust connection to the wireless network. Further work will continue through the year and once staff are connected we will look forward to enabling student access also.
